Cruise lines update COVID protocols, new cases reported on ships

” notwithstanding the fact that her symptoms began 4 days into the cruise which was consistent with the incubation period explained by the CDC which can begin as early as 2 days. Seventeen months later today, it is clear that Carnival is refusing to disclose the total number of crew and guests infected with COVID-19 on any particular cruise and is sloughing off direct responses to such inquiries from the media. It is also apparent that guests are disembarking from Carnival ships and quickly testing positive  without follow up by this cruise line.

CORONAVIRUS - LIVE MAP OF CRUISE SHIPS AFFECTED BY NOW

Carnival Cruise Lines previously did not require vaccinated passengers to bring a negative COVID-19 test or wear a mask, but the cruise line changed its guidelines following the positive cases. For example, six passengers on a recent Royal Caribbean International Adventure of the Seas cruise sailing from Nassau, the Bahamas, tested positive for COVID-19. Three passengers tested positive for COVID-19 at the end of the recent inaugural seven-night sailing from Port Canaveral of Carnival Cruise Line’s newest and largest ship, the Mardi Gras.

For example, he is projecting that ships sailing from Port Canaveral will operate at 50% of their double-occupancy capacity from October through December 2021. Then, he is projecting that they will operate at 75% of their double-occupancy capacity from January through September 2022. Carnival said it also has a process in place to randomly test a large percentage of its crew on a rotating basis multiple days per week, even though all are vaccinated. In the Mardi Gras incident, three Carnival Cruise Line passengers had COVID-19 on the inaugural sailing of the ship from Port Canaveral on July 31. Carnival Cruise Line failed to reveal any information regarding the number of infected guests or crew members on this ship. The two passengers are asymptomatic but in isolation while the cruise line conducts contact tracing, the statement said.

At the Tulsa hospital, her condition worsened and she died, says an update on the crowdfunding page from August 15. That was done through a combination of 68 permanent layoffs, 17 unpaid furloughs, and not filling 30 positions that were left vacant because of retirement or employees taking jobs elsewhere. Even with the ARPA money, Port Canaveral expects to report losses of $39.48 million during the current budget year. Poole said the money will be received in monthly installments, and can be used for a variety of operating and capital expenses. The money will help cover its losses stemming from a 16½-month shutdown of the cruise industry locally because of COVID-19.

Twenty-six of those who tested positive were crew members and the other was a passenger. "The CDC’s conditional sail order and our own protocols anticipate the potential for COVID on board, and our procedures are designed to manage and mitigate any situation," Carnival said in a statement on that incident. "The health, safety and well-being of our guests, crew and the destinations we visit is our priority."

Carnival cruise passenger dies after testing positive for COVID-19 onboard ship

Port Canaveral Secretary/Treasurer Robyn Hattaway expressed some frustration during Wednesday's Canaveral Port Authority meeting about how long it was taking for the port to get its ARPA money. COVID-19 vaccines are highly effective, but they’re not 100% effective in preventing infection. A small percentage of people who are fully vaccinated will still get COVID-19 if they're exposed to the virus that causes it, according to the CDC.

cruise ships will be based here

The discovery was among a series of positive COVID-19 tests among passengers and crew of ships operated by Carnival and other cruise lines in recent weeks. The CDC recommends people who go on cruises wear a mask in shared spaces and get tested one to three days before their trip and three to five days after, regardless of vaccination status. Passengers who are not fully vaccinated should also self-quarantine for at least seven days after their cruise ends, according to the CDC's website. "Carnival has implemented a suite of protocols that are designed to flex up as needed to adapt to the changing public health situation related to COVID-19," the cruise line told Insider in a statement. "We meet the standards for a vaccinated cruise as defined by the CDC, with at least 95 percent of our guests and all of our crew being vaccinated."

Passengers test positive for COVID on fully-vaxxed Royal Caribbean cruise

All passengers and crew have to show proof that they’re fully vaccinated, reports said. The CDC has recently reported that 15 of the 24 ships currently sailing in U.S. waters with paying passengers have experienced outbreaks of the virus on board. "We have always required vaccinations. From our restart in July, 95+% guests have been vaccinated. We meet the definition of a vaccinated cruise," a Carnival spokesperson told NBC News' Kerry Sanders on Tuesday. "And we added the testing requirement on July 28. (August) 28 is when new guidelines for the Bahamas go into effect." Starting last Saturday, Carnival began requiring passengers to wear their masks in indoor areas. Starting this Saturday, all passengers will need to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test to board.

Passenger dies of COVID-19 amid outbreak on Carnival cruise ship

Urging caution during these uncertain times, the CDC notes that because cruising will always pose some risk of COVID-19 transmission, public health measures such as testing and vaccinations are crucial. And regardless of the current status of a ship the agency recommends that anyone who is not fully vaccinated should avoid both river and ocean cruising worldwide. Like many cruise aficionados, Barnette is still comfortable cruising, having taken three cruises since June 2021.

Among them, there were cases involving 26 crew members and one passenger on the Carnival Vista on a recent cruise that sailed from Galveston, Texas. Marilyn Tackett, a 77-year-old from Oklahoma, tested positive aboard the ship and was admitted into a hospital in Belize, one of the ports on the cruise's itinerary. There, she was put on a ventilator after having respiratory issues, according to the Times. Celebrity is planning the first post-pandemic ship out of the US, in Florida, at the end of the month, the cruise line has said. The Celebrity Edge is set to take off from Fort Lauderdale with a fully vaccinated crew and a requirement that passengers over 16 show proof of vaccinations.

Because traveling in the era of COVID is never risk-free, up-to-date information can help travelers make better-informed decisions, taking into account their personal health status and willingness to take risks. Carnival added that "our protocols are designed to manage and mitigate COVID amongst guests and crew." So far, Carnival and other cruise lines have dealt with the cases without disrupting their ship schedules.

The appearance of COVID-19 on the Mardi Gras as cruising returned to Port Canaveral is a sign of just how precarious the restart of cruising can be. Twenty-seven people sailing on Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Vista ship have tested positive for COVID-19. Of those who tested positive, 26 are crew members and one person is a passenger, according to a news release from the Belize Tourism Board Wednesday. After leaving one Carnival Vista passenger with COVID-19 alone in a sub-standard hospital in Belize and sailing on to the next port (Cozumel), Carnival belatedly claimed that “it was highly unlikely Ms. Tackett contracted the coronavirus aboard the ship .

I have also heard from guests on different Carnival cruise ships who tested positive after returning home from cruises who tried to contact Carnival and had to leave a message with sales representatives that they tested positive for COVID-19. Another couple left a tweet to this effect on Twitter and commented that other guests tested positive as well. CDC protocol says at least 95% of passengers and crew must show proof of vaccination to board a cruise ship. COVID-19 outbreaks have been reported on cruise ships in recent months, despite various testing and vaccination requirements among cruise lines. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has banned vaccine passports and challenged the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance for cruise ships. The CDC requires ships to have 98 percent of its crew and 95 percent of passengers fully vaccinated.

This morning begins with a private visit to the Tudor Manor House of Dorney Court, a very special home that has been owned by the Palmer family for more than 450 years & 13 generations. King Henry VIII has stayed here and the manor is regularly used for filming including “Poirot” and more recently “The Other Boleyn Girl”. We are fortunate enough to enjoy a private tour of the house. Later, we cruise upstream past the fabulous waterside houses of Bray and through the spectacular Cliveden Reach to our exclusive mooring on the Cliveden estate.

This morning, we cruise upstream past the fabulous waterside houses of Bray and through the spectacular Cliveden Reach to our exclusive mooring on the Cliveden estate. Cliveden was once owned by the Astor family, though the original house dates back to 1666. The property has glorious gardens that include a Parterre, Chinese water garden and wonderful topiary and was, of course, the scene of much political intrigue and scandal. Built by William the Conqueror in 1066 and a royal home for over 900 years by the Royal Family, this is the largest inhabited castle in the world.

Lunch will be served on board before a short drive to Stonor Park. Home to the Stonor family for over 850 years, Stonor Park is one of the oldest family homes still lived in today, here we will be greeted by the honourable William Stonor, who will accompany us around the house. As well as being architecturally fascinating each room contains a lifetime of experience and anecdotes. Discover art and treasures collected from across the globe and view historic maps and documents that reveal generations of service to the country. A stroll through this house is a vivid walk through history.

Afterwards we cruise through fabulous countryside to our final mooring situated along the famous Henley Regatta Rowing Course. An earlier lunch is followed by a drive to Oxford for a fascinating tour of Christ Church, Oxford’s grandest college, founded by Cardinal Wolsey and then by King Henry VIII.

Breakfast may feature a full English cooked meal or continental-style options such as fresh breads, fruit, cereals, fruit juices, tea and coffee. Lunch usually consists of a light 2-course meal with colorful salads, pasta dishes and cold meats, accompanied by hot soup or an entree and dessert. Dinner is always a gastronomic adventure with a taste of regional cuisine by candlelight, complemented by fine wines and followed by a selection of regional cheeses, coffee and liqueurs. Unfortunately, we did not continue along the Thames with the other passengers who were cruising for the entire 6-nights/7-days. Our time aboard Magna Carta ended in Windsor where we transferred to Heathrow Airport – only a 20-minute taxi ride away.

On the first afternoon, passengers were met at 3 PM by the stewardess, for English Cream Tea at the Stafford Hotel in London. Expanding the Norwegian Cruise Line Fleet Under New Ownership

In 2005, Norwegian purpose-built American-flagged Pride of America as part of a U.S.-based fleet that was set to offer Hawaii-only sailings under Norwegian Cruise Line offshoot NCL America. In 2003, Norwegian Cruise Line took Norway out of service, though it didn't sell the ship off until 2005. Ships that left the fleet in the 2000s were Leeway in 2000, Norwegian Crown in 2004, Norwegian Sea in 2005, Norwegian Wind in 2007 and Norwegian Majesty in 2009. Ships that joined the fleet in the early 2000s included Norwegian Sun (2001), a sister ship to Norwegian Sky; Norwegian Star (2001) and Norwegian Dawn (2002); and Norwegian Jewel (2005), Pride of Hawaii (later Norwegian Jade), Norwegian Pearl (2007) and Norwegian Gem (2007). Norwegian also acquired one-ship Orient Lines in 1998, operating it as a separate entity from Norwegian Cruise Line. It ran as a sister company until 2008 when its ship, Marco Polo, was sold off and not replaced.

NCL is owned by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, a publicly traded parent company that owns three total brands. And if you’re wondering who owns Oceania Cruises or who owns Regent Seven Seas Cruises, the answer is the same – NCLH. He also has extensive experience as a board member and currently serves as a director of privately held Restaurant Brands Iberia, the largest restaurant company in the Iberian Peninsula. He is also serving as on the Executive Board of Advisors of Florida International University’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, and Belen Jesuit Preparatory School.

In 2012, in between taking ownership of Norwegian Epic and the two Breakaway-class ships, Norwegian Dream was transferred to the Genting Hong Kong-owned cruise line, Star Cruises. In 2007, Norwegian entered into another chapter when private equity firm Apollo Management agreed to become a 50-percent owner of the cruise line, sharing leadership with Genting Hong Kong (which is no longer a major shareholder in the company as of 2016). It has seven (soon to be eight) elegant mid-sized ships, each carrying 670 to 1,250 passengers. Oceania’s culinary offering is unmatched in the industry, but that’s expected with a culinary director as prestigious as French chef Jacques Pepin. As of [current year], the largest shareholder of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings is Genting Hong Kong Ltd., an investment holding company based in Hong Kong.

Chernesky’s multifaceted experience in the industry and passion for the trade community is instrumental in his role as he is dedicated to prioritizing Norwegian’s Partner’s First philosophy, which is the Company’s long-standing commitment to travel advisors. Previously, Berkshire oversaw strategic planning and analysis for Onboard Media, a subsidiary of Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH), which provides customized integrated media to the cruise and hotel industry. Founded in 1966 under the name Norwegian Caribbean Line, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has come a long way to become one of the most recognizable names in the cruising world. The company was originally established as a joint venture between Norwegian shipowner Knut Kloster and Ted Arison, an Israeli shipping magnate.

The ultimate guide to Norwegian Cruise Line ships and itineraries

norwegion cruise lines

In keeping with Norwegian's laid-backness, this might still mean nothing more than a crisper pair of jeans, or maybe slacks with a collared shirt, for men. This pricing is quite a bit higher than what some other lines, such as Carnival or Princess, charge for Wi-Fi. Princess recently was charging just $14.99 per person per day for a WiFi package.

Food For Any Taste. At Any Time.

However, what you spend on cruise fare is just a portion of what you’ll spend on your entire cruise. If you haven’t yet sailed Norwegian, you might not be sure what to expect. The name of the cruise line makes it sound like it is Nordic, however, as you’ll see below, the experience is anything but. It was the first cruise line to eliminate the traditional set dining times when it introduced Freestyle Dining, allowing guests to eat at any time at up to 28 different locations on each ship.

Other highlights include a visit to Stockholm and Copenhagen, including an overnight stop in the latter. Such itineraries tend to be shorter, and are a great introduction to both cruising and Scandinavia, with limited sea days and plenty to see and do while in port. If you want to explore modern Scandinavia while gaining access to some of the region’s best museums, such an itinerary is a perfect choice.

Dawn Class

Norwegian Cruise Line has been a cruise industry leader since the 1960s. Whether you want to sail the Caribbean, explore Europe, or journey through exotic destinations in Asia, Norwegian has you covered. Norwegian sails to over 450 destinations from 17 departure ports across Europe and North America. In February 2016, Norwegian ordered 4 new ships from Fincantieri under the codename Project Leonardo, to be delivered in 2022–2025.

You want someone who understands all the little quirks that are unique to Norwegian's cabin categories and, preferably, has done ship inspections to see the cabins firsthand. That said, given the complexity of booking a cruise (there are a lot of decisions to make during the booking process — trust us) we recommend you use a seasoned travel agent who specializes in cruises. A passenger staying in suites and booking through Latitudes Rewards Insider Offers could get to the Platinum level with just four seven-night cruises. Instead, you can travel with a state-certified birth certificate or other proof of citizenship and a driver's license or other government-issued photo identification.

Norwegian Joy's refurbishment details/changes unveiled (SPA, Suites, Beach Club)

Older ships are more limited in what they offer, but still offer plenty of basics including pools, spas, casinos, and shows. Norwegian offers a “Free at Sea” sale that can give you certain perks for free, including free drinks, Internet, shore excursions, and specialty dining. For some passengers this can save money, just be aware that the rate for a cabin with these perks included is usually higher than the base price for the room. For example, while Carnival charges around $60 per day for its drink package, NCL charges $99 per day. The highest tier of wi-fi service costs about $40 per day on the ship. The cruise line also has a heavy focus on specialty restaurants that are an extra charge, as well as charges for some things to do on the ship like laser tag and go-karts.

Previous Ships

So, even if you took a cruise on Norwegian Spirit, for example, you’d still be able to take advantage of refurbishments that occurred as recently as 2020. Lastly, the oldest class for NCL is the Sun Class, which debuted in 1999 and includes Norwegian Sky and Norwegian Sun. Indeed, the ship often is at the top of the list when you sort cruises by lowest price on Norwegian's website.

In short, these are the Norwegian ships to book when you want to take things up a notch. That's all on top of dedicated children's play areas, pools and family-friendly entertainment that will keep your family busy from morning to night. Experience the best of the Last Frontier in quaint Whittier, Alaska. Enjoy the clear water filled with salmon, red snapper and trout along with the freely roaming wildlife, all combining to make Whittier a treat to visit. Bundle up to experience the culture and beauty of Tromso, one of the largest cities within the Arctic Circle.

It featured a range of new amenities specific to its class, such as restaurants helmed by celebrity chef Geoffrey Zakarian and Grammy and magic-themed entertainment areas. According to the current Cuban law, US citizens of Cuban origin (born in Cuba) are not allowed to visit the island country (including on cruise vessels). Regardless of their US citizenship status, Cuba-born Americans were denied booking on itineraries visiting ports in Cuba.

Guessed to cost the cruise line approximately $850 million to build, the ship features world-class accommodations, a wealth of suite options, and a bigger and better go-karting track unlike anything cruisers have ever seen before. The ship will feature more than 43,000 square feet of outdoor space, more than one infinity pool and a cool dining concept called the Indulge Food Hall, which encompasses nearly a dozen restaurants all in one dining experience. There are 17 existing ships within the NCL fleet, and 15 of those ships are separated into five classes (a few outliers are considered part of their own, single-ship individual classes). The fleet will increase to 19 once the two new Prima-class vessels have joined.

In February 2017, NCL started a new (industry's first) cabin upgrade program that allows already booked passengers to bid for upgrades to higher-category staterooms. Since December 2022, fleetwide (on all NCL boats) are offered soft drinks from The Coca-Cola Company. By the new NCL-Coca-Cola contract, the brand's beverages replaced the onboard soda fountains and all the old bar equipment was changed. On June 14, 2022, NCL signed a partnership deal with Flow Beverage Corporation (USA-based health & wellness-focused company) for its "Flow Alkaline Spring Water" to become NCL's official water fleetwide. Flow Beverage's water is sourced from Seawright Springs (Augusta County, Virginia), has PH 8,1, and comes in a fully recyclable carton (made of 75% renewable materials) with a plant-based cap. On June 6, 2022, NCLH announced an expansion of its fleetwide sustainability program "Sail & Sustain".

Since January 2016, NCL adjusted the company's final payment and cancellation policies. Under the new cruise cancellation policy, booked NCL customers will incur penalties further from departure date when canceling. On January 1, 2020, NCL became the industry's first major company to eliminate single-use plastic beverage bottles fleetwide (via partnership with the 2012-founded JUST Goods Inc).

Hurtigruten is the king of Norway cruises, with at least one ship departing daily on its coastal route (the line is based in Norway). Most major cruise lines and many expedition lines also visit Norway; the notable exceptions are Carnival and Norwegian Cruise Line. You might find a Disney cruise to Norway (sometimes including Iceland), though they are few and far between. Some major cruise lines only offer a few departures, while others -- such as Celebrity Cruises, Fred.

From hiking to kayaking, the fjords offer endless opportunities to explore and connect with nature. Whether you're seeking out adventure or simply looking to unwind in a stunning natural setting, the Norwegian fjords are sure to give you everything you want from a cruise holiday. Norway's rocky coastline and deep spectacular fjords are some of the top sights to see on a cruise to the Scandinavian country.

The Grand Tour of the Fjords

You might think that weather-wise, the Fjords’ only options are cold, cold and more cold. But actually, they’re pretty mild compared to the likes of Alaska and Greenland. It varies a lot by region, so be ready with your layers if you like to stay toastie. Right next to Oslo’s Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art is the popular Tjuvholmen City Beach, one of the best beaches in Norway. Kayaking is popular, too, with regular tours departing from the nearby Sjølyst Marina. Visitors don’t have to take the ferry to enjoy the Oslofjord, though.

Here's how to plan yours, including what to know and what to avoid. Yes - you can view the Northern Lights on one of our Norwegian cruises, however we can't guarantee it! The aurora borealis is near impossible to predict, but sightings are more likely on clear nights between October and March, and odds increase the further north you travel.

Follow the Northern Lights: Southbound Helsinki to Oslo

You are welcome to join them on hikes during many of our port stays or enjoy onboard lectures and activities. Following breakfast and another chance to explore this picturesque city, join the ship at the port to begin your voyage towards the Arctic circle and the Midnight Sun. In conclusion, Norway's fjords offer something for every traveller, be it a comprehensive cruise experience or a DIY exploration. The key is to choose the experience that aligns best with your own preferred travel style. You may also like to check out our packing list for a northern lights tour. While you (hopefully!) won't need as much cold weather clothing, it may still prove useful when planning what to bring to Norway.

The Medieval city of Molde, lying on the Moldefjord, a limb of the Romsdalsfjord, has an immaculate harbor from where ferries dart across the fjord to Vestnes and Sekken island. The 55-mile-long fjord features the town of Åndalsnes in the Romsdalen Valley on its south shore, and the village of Isfjorden at its innermost tip—both boasting a delicious alpine backdrop. With marvelous apple orchards blooming around Hardangerfjord’s verdant slopes, apple juice and apple cider are among the popular local libations. Norheimsund is a notable village on Hardangerfjord, with a pretty waterfront with a wide-open grassy promenade dotted with silver birch trees on the fjord’s north shore.

With trendy neighbourhoods, incredible green spaces, world-class museums and a top-notch cuisine scene, there’s plenty to see and do here. Head to Rogaland, where its collection of museums, exhibits and archaeological sites show there’s more to its ancestors than their reputation for ravaging marauders. The Swords in Rock monument is a real gem, one that marks the unification of Norway with three enormous swords, each one symbolising peace, unity and freedom. Sailing into Olden port early in the morning is a real wake-up call, complete with unbelievable views and cool, cleansing Norwegian air. A summer-time jaunt sees Bergen even more laid back than usual thanks to its almost endless hours of sunlight, which means plenty of time to see the place in all its natural sparkle.

We again dock at Honningsvåg, where you can join an excursion that includes eating breakfast at North Cape. The ship continues to Hammerfest, where you can see the UNESCO-listed Meridian Column. You can also join a mini-mountain expedition and learn about local polar hero Adolf Lindstrøm. Visit Kjøllefjord, where you can learn about the Sámi way of life and hear traditional joiking (song). In the afternoon, the ship sails northwest, passing the Kjeungskjær lighthouse, islets and rocky reefs and onwards towards charming Rørvik.

The Norwegian Fjords is an astounding landscape made of many narrow deep seas, framed by dramatic mountainous land. The Norwegian fjords were created by moving glaciers over a period of 2.5 million years – Mother Nature certainly took her time to make these marvels. Due to the unique geography of Norway, with fjords carving their way from the coast and far into the countryside, Bergen was in the older days quite isolated from the rest of Norway. With a name that means ‘little place with big mountains’, Flam’s moniker couldn’t be any more fitting. While Norway is synonymous with fjords, the country’s capital city, Oslo, is more well-known for its fabulous museums and cosmopolitan restaurants, despite lying at the end of the Oslofjord.

Will be our first time back on M-class in many moons. While at max capacity the ship can hold up to 3,609 passengers, Reflection rarely feels crowded, as passengers tend to find their own spaces to hang out in. It's also well designed, and favorite spots like the excellent thermal spa are capacity controlled.

Today's Birthdays - Enjoy your day!

Cleaning the stairwells, the pool deck, the Oceanview Cafe, the casino. Public areas were very well maintained. I could tell some carpets were new, some cabins updated ( I did look into a suite on our floor and it had new carpet, bedding and beautiful dark cherry finishes). It seems they continue to work on updates as they are sailing.

Infinity... Just a few thoughts from our recent cruise.

Soups were good, salads fresh and always happy to give you extra vegetable instead of potatoes. After embarkation concierge lunch sandwiched in-between two tables of 2 (so we were actually a table of 6 lol) we asked for a table for 2 not close to anyone. Our wish was granted each night with a lovely, quiet table by the stairs. We enjoy open seating and we do actually enjoy sitting with tablemates, but I think the Open Seating doesn't allow you to sit with the same people each night.

The Virgin Beach Club is way further down on Bimini and not connected to the Hilton or Resorts World, beaches, although it does utilize their trolleys. The Virgin Beach Club was always kinda fuzzy until you're there or look at Google Maps. When first proposed it was described as it's own private enclave. Then later descriptions implied it was just an extension of the Hilton and Resorts World Beaches, which is not the same as a totally separate enclave. If you look at Google maps Satellite view you'll get a definitive answer. It's a totally separate Beach Club that sits within the the Resorts World Hilton complex but isn't connected at all to the Hilton Hotels.

This was just a quick get away for us and we really just wanted to lay around and relax for a week. We are seasoned cruisers with over 20 cruises each,  on different lines. Celebrity is my preferred brand and Disney is my sisters. We both were on the Edge last year and while it's beautiful, we prefer the smaller ships.

I sailed on INFINITY almost 20 years ago to Hawaii and loved it. Happy to return in September with some friends. I realize she is now 20 older and never received that extensive refit, but she has great bones. Wonderful pools and decks and this cruise is all about lounging on deck. I can deal with a little wear and tear.

Literally we watched them sit, take menus and then get up to move tables... So we waited almost 25 minutes for our table for 2. Then the waiter came right over and said "do you know what you want" we were like ummm no we haven't opened the menus, how about a cocktail first?

They want really great entertainment at night. “Classics are coming back, more variety on the menu and chocolate desert every night. They said by Thanksgiving so that is pretty soon,” tfred said, in a comment on the thread. The package must be purchased online via Celebrity's Cruise Planner. Every member of the cabin over the age of six must purchase it in order to qualify.

The only pool game we saw was passenger vs officers volleyball. There were no themed nights on our cruise. Celebrity Apex ship is part of the current revolution for Celebrity, which for years has pushed the bar when it comes to design and delight. For the second of its Edge-class ships, the cruise line partnered with some big-name designers -- including Kelly Hoppen and Jouin Manku -- to bring an airy, modern feel to every space onboard, inside and out.

The same was true on QM2 in March. Covered in rust and you could barely see through the glass rail. The worst condition I’ve ever seen her in. Similar to Royal Caribbean's "The Key" program, Celebrity's new Premium Access add-on gives passengers the chance to enjoy priority embarkation along with a welcome lunch in the main dining room.

Travel, Airfare, & Hotels: Let Princess Get You There

It’s an age-old question — does the early bird really get the worm, or are there perks to taking a “wait-and-see” approach? If you’re booking a cruise vacation, you’ll find there are benefits to both strategies. Planning ahead is a great way to score big savings, as Royal Caribbean often runs early saver deals to guests booking well in advance. It’s also pretty safe to assume prices usually go up as availability goes down the closer you get to your sail date, so booking ahead is a surefire way to lock in a great rate. That said, booking a cruise at the last minute can also yield some unexpected savings — but only if the itinerary you’re interested in hasn’t sold out yet. Your last night on board will be a special one, where memories will be shared and Celebrity’s world-class service and amenities make for the perfect finish to a fabulous adventure.

Booking a cruise has never been easier with flexible payment methods and payment options.
